Gary and I began our journey six years ago in Lake Stevens, Washington. Our goal was to produce artisan fibers from happy and healthy, high-quality animals. Although our flock and location has changed the goal has stayed the same.

We are Sarah and Gary Schroeder owners of Lone Wolf Fibers. We started our fiber farm 6 years ago with alpacas and quickly added sheep then angora bunnies. The 2 registered Blue Faced Leicester sheep we started with got us hooked on fiber! We added more and finally had our own flock! Deciding to diversify we then decided to add Gotland and Cormo sheep to our mix. We bought some high quality Gotland ewes and then a 100% Gotland ram that was an embryo transfer from New Zealand. Soon we were awash in lambs. Often we sell our quality breeding stock to keep our numbers at a manageable level.
Our 6 and half acre lot 30 miles outside of Seattle soon became to small to meet our demand. After 31 years of living in the same home we moved our beloved animals and operation to the Texas Hill Country.
